Focus and Scope

Islamic Civilization and History is a double-blind peer-reviewed academic journal with open access, dedicated to research and discussions in multidisciplinary fields. The journal is published biannually by Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Kuningan (STAIKU).

Islamic Civilization and History provides a platform for ongoing discussions on relevant issues within its focus and scope, particularly those that can be examined empirically.

The journal covers, but is not limited to, the following topics: 

• Islamic history and historiography

• cultural heritage

• Islamic art and architecture

• the intellectual tradition in Islamic civilization

• the history of Islamic science and technology

• the social and economic systems of Islamic societies
